What's Pianbello? “Cantina Pianbello Vini” is a private winery which produces bottled wine, it has its place of work in Loazzolo, in the province of Asti. The main wines produced are whites and reds one. “Pianbello Vini” is one of the Consortium members of the Alta Langa area. The logo of the winery is represented by the image of the wolf, image which there is in the coat of arms of the Municipality of Loazzolo. “Pianbello Azienda Agricola” covers 60 hectares, of which 31 are vineyards. The toponym "Loazzolo", as stated on the back label of each bottle, derives from the Latin LUPATIOLUM (place where wolves roam) ancient Latin name of Loazzolo. And a “Rio dei Lupi” flows right next to Cascina Pianbello (sheet 5, map 8 of the municipal cadastre) where the Cirio family, which boasts years of peasant history dedicated entirely to the production of quality wine, trying to make the most of the exceptional resources that these lands have offered and produced the typical wines of the Asti Langa and Canelli for two generations. The Pianbello company's grape production systems are traditional and are based on ancient knowledge and experience.
